On 15th – 16th of April a third ASPICE cluster collaboration workshop was held at the SPIE Photonics Europe 2014 exhibition. SECPhO together with other 6 project partners hosted an ASPICE booth at the event.

During the two days of exhibition ASPICE team disseminated information about a project and its´ results to European photonics community as well as held 2 specific events about value chain collaboration in two ASPICE value chains, namely Healthcare in an aging society and Safety & Security of EU citizens (http://www.fp7-aspice.eu/workshop2014/).

Firstly, a roundtable discussion was organised where cluster practitioners were introduced to ASPICE developed tools and a discussion how clusters can help their SMEs in collaborating with other European peers in Horizon2020 program was managed by ASPICE team. Later in the evening, an informative session about coming Horizon 2020 calls in photonics and existing tools (Enterprise Europe Network, ASPICE) were introduced to general Photonics Europe audience. A networking session followed the presentations where participants had a chance to introduce themselves and make new contacts to identify possible collaborations in EU projects.
