Our member Ommatidia LIDAR has installed three Q1S units on the La Marota high-speed bridge, a device developed entirely by this company that is specifically adapted to the needs of structural health monitoring.
Over the next 2 years, it will provide non-contact laser measurements of local sub-mm deflections and vibrations at 128 points on the bridge deck simultaneously. The sensed information will support a digital twin model for predictive maintenance.
About Q1S: With its 128 parallel channels, the Ommatidia Q1 LiDAR is capable of providing metrological quality measurements with a range of up to 50m.
