- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of engineers, biomedical experts, and data scientists to refine and integrate signal processing techniques into broader biomedical device systems.
- Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets generated by the interaction between electromagnetic fields and metallic implants, identifying patterns, interference, and signal distortions.
- Innovate solutions to mitigate noise, enhance signal clarity, and ensure reliable data extraction from challenging environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research in signal processing, biomedical engineering, and relevant telecommunications techniques to enhance existing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Signal Processing, Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
- Proven expertise in developing and optimizing post-processing algorithms for electromagnetic signals.
- Strong background in signal analysis techniques, including filtering, time-frequency analysis, and noise reduction.
- Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ for algorithm development and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and interpret complex and big datasets, especially those involving interactions between electromagnetic fields and metallic structures.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)
- Prior experience working with biomedical signals, particularly in the context of metallic medical implants (e.g., pacemakers, prosthetics, stents).
- Background in telecommunications engineering with expertise in wireless signal interference, multipath effects, and related challenges.
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques applied to signal processing and biomedical data.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for medical devices and relevant electromagnetic safety protocols.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive Salary: The salary for this role will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience, with a range of 36.000 – 46.000 €.
- Paid Time Off: 32 days of annual paid leave distributed following: 23 working days of holiday + 5 free disposal days + 2 Christmas days + 2 Holy Week days.
