Intelligent and sustainable urban logistics
The challenge is to improve the efficiency of courier services in cities and reduce congestion and CO2 emissions from the transport of goods in the urban environment.
E-commerce is booming and the forecast is that consumers will increase online ordering and expect greater control and speed of delivery. Meanwhile, cities are struggling with traffic congestion and air pollution due to the increase in delivery vehicles and their CO2 emissions. Moreover, in the current pandemic context, courier professionals are exposed to risks of contagion that technology can prevent. This is the Last Mile Team’s objective and the project “Resilient, agile and adaptable supply networks”.
Last Mile Team develops digital solutions based on Artificial Intelligence complemented by a dozen other technologies, including Blockchain.
