The global space economy grew by 6.7% on average per year between 2005 and 2017, almost twice the average yearly growth of the global economy of 3.5%. One aspect that has contributed to this growth has been the “NewSpace” phenomenon, a series of technological and business model innovations that have led to a significant reduction in costs and have resulted in the provision of new products and services that have broadened the existing customer base.
What is New Space?
It is a booming sector, with an estimated value between 53-62 billions of euros in 2017. Having a faster and cheaper access data will make us create better technologies, rethink about businesses and obtain better services (spatial tourism, additive manufacturing for extraterrestrial conquest and the technological development in the space, asteroid and planetary mining, etc.).
These new technologies are still an incipient market with great potential, which is why at secpho we have decided to create this webinar aiming to deeper into the different applications of these technologies and to show how deep tech can help to develop the sector in Spain. These topics will be developed through expert presentations.
This free webinar is going to be held in English and is addressed to:
- Technicians and Innovation Directors from companies in fields such as Telecommunications, Defence and Aerospace, Agro-alimentary, etc.
- Researchers from R&D centres and companies that are experts in photonic and quantum technologies
