In collaboration with ArcelorMittal Global R&D Basque Country, on February 11th we will hold an Innovation Workshop, which will be developed in-house, in the production plant that ArcelorMittal has located in the Basque town of Sestao. The plant produces hot-rolled and pickled steel coil. It has two electric arc furnaces and facilities to manufacture 900,000 tons of hot coil and 500,000 tons of pickled coil per year.
Objective of the workshop
The objective of the day will be to get to know the production process closely. The participants will be able to visit all the parts of the process guided by the technicians who have defined the innovation challenges and who will explain them ‘in situ’.
A posteriori, an innovation workshop will be held in two sessions to discuss possible collaborative innovation projects to solve these challenges.
Addressed to
Both companies and research groups, focusing on profiles of Technical Directors, R & D, Innovation and Researchers in the field of photonics technologies with experience in the field of steel – metallurgy
