How to solve PBF-LB/M challenges in industry

The idea of this webinar is to explain a methodology of application-driven laser beam, by tailoring the material microstructure and deploying this beam in PBF-LB/M (Powder Bed Fusion with a Laser Beam on Metal).

This webinar is part os a set of 3 dissemination actions of the CUSTODIAN project, 2 technical webinars, one for LBW and the other focused in PBF-LB/M technology, and one final workshop open to the widest audience. The expected duration is of about 1,5 – 2 hours, covering general topics about each process and the related materials of main interest within the CUSTODIAN project.

• Beam shaping based on MPLC technology as cutting-edge approach for solving PBF-LB/M challenges in industry
• Strategies to mitigate hot cracking in critical Ni-based alloys
• Simulation-based process optimization of PBF-LB/M
• Integration of the MPLC and inline control system in a PBF-LB/M machine, testing and results.
