Anticovid Technologies Day
It has been almost a year since the Coronavirus hit our society. Since then, technological applications and initiatives have multiplied in an attempt to control the situation, treat patients effectively and to ease the efforts of overburdened healthcare workers, while waiting for an effective vaccine available to the whole population.
The pandemic has also presented a unique opportunity for the development of digital information and surveillance technologies to gather reliable data and evidence to support public health decisions. Artificial intelligence, Robots and Drones are being deployed to help track the disease and enforce restrictive measures, while scientists are working with synthetic biology and Nanotechnology in an attempt to prepare and test future vaccines, treatments and diagnostics. Blockchain applications can help track the spread or maintain the medical supply chain. In addition, 3D Printing combined with open source technologies has been able to deliver medical equipment (e.g. masks, ventilators and respiratory filters) at the height of the health crisis. At the same time, Telemedicine technologies have become an alternative to face-to-face medical assistance.
From secpho promotes the Anticovid Technologies Day to gain more detailed insights about some developments in the field of Deep Tech that have proven to be a powerful ally in the research of the behaviour of the virus, its detection and prevention.

Virtual Event
We will use the Webex platform, which is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. Browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari can be used. You will also be able to attend the webinar via mobile devices using the free Webex apps for iOS and Android.
Matchmaking session
We know that an essential advantage of face-to-face events is the possibility to network with other attendees and talk in depth with the speakers and presenters of each panel. This session will be virtual, but in the matchmaking sessions you will have the opportunity to meet and talk in depth and network (the only thing we won’t have is the handshake).
By registering for this event, the user consents to secpho entering his or her email address into an external application that will serve as a matching tool for booking B2B meetings between participants.
The matchmaking process will start the day prior to the event, when you will have access to the Swapcard tool. Have a look at our matchmaking user guide here.
All personal information and data will be secure and your email address will only be shared once you have logged in with another user.
You can then view the list of participants through the platform and send a matchmaking invitation to the profiles you are most interested in.
Please note that B2B meetings must be accepted by both parties, so you will have to wait for your invitation to be accepted. The bilateral meeting will be scheduled automatically.
B2B meetings will be conducted in virtual video calls directly via Swapcard after the presentations.
