The Innovation Workshops are designed to generate collaborative projects between cluster companies and firms in other industries in which optical and photonic technologies can be a powerful source of innovation.

The process of organisation of these workshops is a key to success (or refer to the video (in spanish) on the right):

1. Firstly, we contact different industrial sector clusters and assess the ability to identify problems or needs that are unmet by their existing technologies. To do so, the cluster manager of secpho works with clusters from other sectors in order to identify the Innovation Topics that can be used to guide the meeting.
2. Once potential sources of innovation have been identified, they are broken down into very specific topics and we invite a small group of companies and technology centres from both sectors to discuss the possibilities of generating innovative solutions through partnerships between these organisations.
3. During secpho managed workshops an innovation project is analysed and specified. In the next stage the project work groups can use secpho services of identification of additional necessary partners, funding opportunities, organisation of venture capital events or dissemination of project activities and results.

We have already organised workshops with food packaging, olive oil, water, agriculture, marine, rubber industry, health, automotive, wine cork, wine and railway clusters and are constantly planning new ones in coming years.
